Stagecoach Examines Possibility of Bradford "Maxi-Taxi" Service
The Bradford Area Transportation Committee composed of businesses, human services agencies, and health care providers is working with Stagecoach to determine if there is interest in a door-to-door public transportation service in the Bradford area. A similar service, known as the "Maxi-Taxi", has operated in Randolph for a number of years.
"Significant potential exists in the Bradford area for this kind of door-to-door service to provide access to destinations such as medical facilities, shopping, and employment", suggests Holly Brown, Marketing Coordinator. Public input is being sought through the survey found in this issue. Depending on the level of interest expressed, the results of this survey may be used as the basis for a funding application to the Vermont Agency of Transportation.
