Stagecoach Transportation Services Additional Information and Frequently Asked Questions

How Do I Arrange A Trip?

The Stagecoach Ride Coordinators will be happy to speak with you regarding your trip need, appropriate category of funding for your ride, and any questions you have. If you have special needs, please contact our office so we can understand how best to assist you. To arrange a ride, call the Stagecoach at (802)-728-3773 or (800)-427-3553. It is helpful if you can schedule trips 24 - 48 hours in advance. When calling for a ride, please provide your name, date, time, and destination of your trip, and information on special needs. All Stagecoach vehicles are equipped with wheelchair lifts. If you require use of the lift, our Drivers will assist you.

Volunteer Drivers

The Stagecoach Volunteer Driver Program is a way to help within your community by volunteering a bit of your time. Volunteer Drivers use their own cars to provide rides for those in need of transportation to reach medical appointments and other essential services. Volunteers receive a per mile reimbursement for their travel expenses. The hours are flexible and the choice to provide a trip is always up to the Volunteer. If helping in the community this way might be of interest to you, please take a moment to call the Stagecoach at (802)-728-3773 or (800)-427-3553

How Can I Help The Stagecoach?

Please be ready at the scheduled time of pick-up. Not being ready or canceling a trip without notice disrupts schedules, inconveniences others, and is costly. In situations of chronic occurrence, transportation may be denied. Smoking is not permitted on any trip provided or arranged by Stagecoach. To help with vehicle cleanliness, please do not eat or drink while on board. For your safety, use of seat belts is strongly encouraged at all times on Stagecoach vehicles, and is required by state law when in a volunteer’s private car. Child seats, to be secured by the parent or guardian, are required, in conformance with state law.

In consideration of the people who either use or work for the Stagecoach, courteous behavior and attention to personal hygiene are desired. Stagecoach will refuse transportation for threatening behavior, vulgar actions, or if there is reasonable suspicion that one is intoxicated or under the influence of illegal drugs. Passengers are asked not to play radio or stereo equipment, unless a headset is being used. Meeting these few expectations will ensure that all passengers have a safe and enjoyable experience while using the Stagecoach public transportation services. Thank you for your cooperation.
